Alpha Thixofix Improved (aka Dunlop Thixofix) is a multi-purpose contact adhesive. It is thixotropic (non-drip) & non-stringing for clean & easy application. Alpha Thixofix has been developed for the specific aim of making simple the bonding of laminated plastics to wood and other substrates, whilst maintaining the well proven efficiency of ordinary contact adhesives.
It is also a popular adhesive among prop makers, cosplayers, live action roleplayers, etc for bonding polyurethane and latex foams when creating costumes and weapon replicas.
Thixofix can be used to bond:
decorative laminates
rigid PVC
cork
rubber
leather
wood
metal
hardboard
plasterboard
chipboard
fabrics
many other substrates.
Limitations
Not suitable for use on polystyrene, vinyl, cellulose paint or mirror tiles.
