Tradebond WAE46 is a water resistant vinyl acetate emulsion (VAE) with higher tack, and a better ability to bond to non absorbent substrates than a PVA. Often used to bond vinyls to timber based products such as caravan boards, speaker boxes, etc, due to it's higher resistance to plasticiser migration; and fabrics to lacquered surfaces, such as pin boards, display units, vehicle trim, furniture etc.
WAE46 is also widely used for surface laminating with PVC foils and decorative papers onto chipboard, plywood and fibre boards, as well as gypsum boards and other worktop surfaces. It has good flowing
properties, high green strength and high bond strength. It has heat resistance of around 110°C (depending on the material), and is cold resistant down to -15°C, depending on the foil type.
